How To Save Energy Costs Using Solar Power

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

In the present environment, energy saving is one of our duty.
Energy conservation is not merely reduced usage of fuel but also looking for a substitute fuel to prevent global warming and atmospheric pollution.
Usage of organic fuels like bio diesel, bio gas can reduce the air pollution and global warming to a desirable extent.
Cars are invented that can perform through batteries and solar power.
Creation and operation of such sources of conveyance need to be started and persuaded, to be utilized in a big measure.

this resulted less air pollution which reduce global warming and we can save our planet
As an alternative to LPG and microwave oven, people should start using the solar cooker, which takes energy from the sun and uses it as power to cook.
These are harmless and let us encourage all homes to become homes run on solar energy in the future so that we make the planet a liveable and lovable place for our next generation.
A solar roof no longer means adding square mirrored tiles to the roof of your home to make it solar efficient.

Presently you can buy solar roof panels which are made from such materials and are so designed that they are very similar to ordinary shingles in appearance.
You can replace all or only part of your roof with these solar shingles.
The portion of the roof having solar equipment is then joined through wire to the collector or combiner box.
There are multiple types of systems. This runs into certain equipment which powers the home.
One type is a system which is not connected to your utility company’s lines. This means that you use the solar power to power your own home alone.

If due to climatic condition or any other problem the solar system fails to provide or store sufficient energy, in most of the cases, a battery backup system is kept handy.
The other type is a solar system which is connected to the utility power lines.
Under this system you can generate solar power for your home as well as be connected to the utility grid if you need additional power or have any type of failure with the solar and battery system.

When we made our new house, I was not unduly worried about interiors and such things because I had entrusted the work to one reputed company and all I had to do was give my preferences and release funds as and when they required.

My only concern was to look for a good company which could take of residential solar supply.
Since the city we had moved to, was not still aware of the importance of solar power, we had to really scout around looking for a good supplier of solar equipment, but our efforts did not bear fruit.
At the end, we were compelled to call an agent from an organization in the adjoining town to carry out the task.
obviously passenger were charged for his travel but never mind, he did good job for our satisfaction
And it should be said, we could easily offset the cost of the solar panels by the money we saved on our energy bill.

Make Your Home Eco And Solar

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

Hopefully, in the near future we would be able to derive a lot of our power from sources which are more environmentally friendly.

Im betting on solar electric systems, for one. If I ever win the lottery, I’m going to get my house fitted with solar power panels so we dont use as much regular electricity. If you want to benefit from solar electrcity you have to live somewhere that gets a lot of sunshine.

thats probably more problematic’especially if you have a housing association or need special zoning requirements.

Apparently just weatherizing your house–making sure the windows are well-insulated, going around with a caulking gun and sealing the cracks–even relatively small changes along those lines can make a big difference. Those people who can’t afford to do it on their own there is a special program to help them which I heard.

Too bad theres no special solar panel installation program, or I would definitely sign up for that one.
Continuously rising oil prices have made one thing clear that oil reserve is dwindling and ultimately there will be no supply of oil which may take three, four or five decades to actually happen.

Consequently, renewable energies become more and more important for our global economy. We need to make sure we have the technologies to deal with the new situation after the last drop of oil has been burned.
One of the most important ways to generate renewable energy is the use of solar panels.

Solar panels can be installed nearly anywhere. People install solar panels on the roof of their homes in order to cut down their electricity bills in the future and to make a contribution to a greener and safer environment.

Large solar plants are being set up in order to generate electricity in an alternative way, without any emissions or the risk of a nuclear fallout.
the ubiquitous availability of sunshine:
Whether you live in New York City or on the north pole ‘ you can use solar panels to generate electricity.
we want to move from smaller city to bigger city because of some reasons like children higher studies and power supply to apartments.
it was heart tearing off to stay in my previous house which was derive by solar energy

I had conserved so much electrical energy and also saved a lot of money by way of reduced electricity bills.
we had planed to move in a new apartment in big city. when we a flat ti was yet to be completed.

Just then a thought struck to me and I requested the builder to arrange for solar power for home geysers. In the beginning, he was somewhat hesitant since it required collecting quotes from organizations as also extra pipe lines to be laid to the bath rooms.

He finally agreed as it was a small building having only 14 apartments and he had not to take much strain for the work.

We now have hot water in our bathrooms heated by solar power!

TheHidden Cameras are the perfect systems which can be used at our business Environments.

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Today every individual’s surrounding and eminence can be very well maintained with the help of the latest and innovative instruments and devices like the nanny cameras, the spy cameras, the CCTV cameras and many more which are easily available in the market. For the achievement in the business each business man has to be very shrewd and attentive. The enthusiasm and the devotion towards his business help him to move forward in life with assurance. If his mind is full of ideas, then he can take the initiative and start working with the new proposals and instruments at his work.

I am an architect and I look after the construction of the buildings and I have a responsibility to see that the raw materials used for the construction is of good quality so that I do not get complaints further in future. Many labors were employed at the construction site and I used to visit everyday at least thrice to the construction site. But because I have some problem in my house, so I could not visit the construction site from the past few days.

Then one fine day, I got a call from one of the labors saying that there was some mischief going on the construction site and then the other labors were trying to create problems there. I immediately went there and found that something was going wrong but I wanted everything to be done evidently. So I decided to install the hidden camera like Air Freshener Camera at the site so that every action of all the people working will get trapped and then I could take action against the real culprit. I pretended as if I didn’t know anything about it so for three to four days I didn’t go to the construction site so that the labors could do whatever they were doing in my absence.

The laborer who informed me was given the duty of putting the camera on regularly. He performed his duty well. Then when I checked the camera I found that the labors were exchanging the loads of the original cement with the low quality cement to create a trouble for me in the future. I wanted to catch the labors with evidence and so I installed the camera at my work place with no tension I was relaxed and the labors were caught red handed and then they were handed to the police who further gave them the punishment for their acts.

When I was surfing on the net for the CCTV camera I found that we can also get a nanny spy cam, so I thought of installing it for my house as my wife also has to go out for her work, my child would be alone at home with the baby sitter. I without delay got the nanny cam installed at my home. Then after that daily we would check the camera and we found that the nanny was normal with our child. There was no such problem being created at home. We were happy that now everything was normal.

A Solar Power Inverter: How & Why it is Used

Monday, May 25th, 2009

A solar power inverter forms an important part of any home solar energy system which supplies enough electricity to get you off the grid.

The inverter converts direct current, which is produced by a solar panel, into alternating current.

There is also a charge controller, which can use excess power to charge your system’s battery, and provide energy without any waste.

In some cases, solar power might be your best solution, if you want to get your home running off the grid. It is also relatively simple to install. It doesn’t require a large quantity of parts and components, in order to produce electricity.

Each system is different, but generally speaking, all you need is:

  • Your wiring
  • A solar regulator or charge controller
  • A battery to store electricity in
  • A set of solar panels

Solar panels usually produce 12 to 24 volts DC. Some appliances can run on this power, but most home appliances require 110 or 220 volts AC.

This is where a solar power inverter is needed. It converts the direct current into alternating current.

What is direct current? Direct current, or DC, flows continuously in one direction, while alternating current changes in its direction of flow.

Alternating current (AC) is used because it is a type of electricity which can be carried over longer distances, with minimal energy loss . Oddly enough, however, most household appliances have built in devices which convert the AC into DC, in order to operate.

Various types of solar inverters can be found on the market these days. You might come across some which are pretty cheap. But keep in mind that these might be inferior in quality. Some inverters get warmer when in use – and that heat adds up to a loss of energy.

Different solar inverters use different “loads,” as well. The “load” is the amount of current or energy that the inverter can handle. For home use, you might want to get a solar inverter that can handle a couple of hundred watts, at any given time. These aren’t always cheap, but they will be worthwhile in the long run.

Possibly the best type of solar inverter to get is the true sine wave. This type of inverter produces power identical to what you would receive from the main supply grid. When viewed on an oscilloscope, the waves are smooth.

If the true sine wave is beyond your budget, you might settle for a modified sine wave. This gives a lesser quality power than the true sine wave does, but is less expensive.

Getting Completely Off the Grid

If you are looking to get your home running off the grid completely, then get a “stand-alone power system inverter.” With this type of device, you plug the deep cycle batteries in - and it can be installed by virtually anyone.

You can also obtain a “mains grid inverter,” which draws power from your solar panels, and at the same time feeds excess energy back to the main grid. In some states, you can earn money back from the power companies when you produce excess power and feed it back to the grid.

Installing a Solar Power System in Your Home

When installing a partial or complete solar energy system into your home, there are generally two ways to go about it.

1.Hire a professional installation company to install your system

2.Do it yourself.

The least expensive choice is the latter – do it yourself.

There are many high-quality and popular do-it-yourself guides available, which will teach you how to install your own solar power or wind power system at home. These guides often include manuals, instructional videos, diagrams, and step-by-step instructions. For more information on these guides, please see DIY Solar Power.

Wind and Solar Power - An Innovative Answer To Energy Generation

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Wind energy is turning out to be one of the most reliable and low cost electrical energy solution. The simplicity and the low costs of setting up a wind power generator is what makes the idea worthwhile. Other types of fuel poses grave threat to the environment and polluted it so it is high time that we change from the current sources of energy to wind energy. This is because wind energy is non polluting and renewable, and it’s very easy to make.

As a concerned individual you can do nature a favor by assembling a wind generator atop your own home. These wind generators are custom-built to generate electricity for residents. The equipment to build the generator can be found on the web. You can browse through many websites and buy the equipments you need.

You can start your project of wind turbines with generator assembly. This is quite an easy project as anyone can do it themselves. One can opt to build the popular magnet DC generators. This is the popular choice motors used for a home wind generator. But it is advisable to go for high voltage capacity motors.

Another alternative energy source is the residential solar panels which can generate electricity using the sun’s energy. This energy can then be converted to electricity that can be used as to power appliances and lights. Solar energy is synonymous with solar power and it is increasingly becoming common in households because of it’s advantages. Solar power is a renewable energy and it is not an environmental hazard. It also becomes very cheap in the long run because you’ll pay only for the equipment like solar panels and batteries in the beginning.

Solar power used at home can also be used to heat your home. Hence you can imagine how much money you are saving annually by using this alternate source of power. As mentioned above, solar power is the leap towards the future simply because it is environment friendly and it cuts on the expenses. First world countries have taken steps in using solar energy in their houses. Wind and solar power usage have one common goal and that they are considered big steps in a more economical and environmentally safe energy resource.

Both wind and solar energy have the potential of becoming powerful sources of power. They are popular with environment enthusiasts because they offer the perfect alternative for the regular sources of non-renewable and polluting energy: fossil fuels.
